We started with a lender out of Arizona who got our credit score, down amount and hourly wage. He then told us we qualified for $580K. We found a house and put in an offer. Then he proceeds to tell us we will need an additional $40+K. We were going to pull out. Mind you we were already in escrow. Then we were asked to try another who said we would need another $35K. We were sunk. Uneducated at the time we were ready to look for a rental and regroup in a year or two. Then we were asked to give a third lender a try for a Hail Mary. We really wanted this house. In comes Julia Drew-Renfro. She took over our circus with all its monkeys. She was a slave driver. She wanted this, that, and wanted it right now. Along the way she educated us as well. The previous lenders were trying to put us in a conventional loan. Hence the larger down amount, with higher rates made our DTI ineligible, unless we came in with a total of 45k. She put us in an FHA. I learned a lot from her. Yes, we have mortgage insurance, but our payment is less than a Conventional loans, and our PMI is a tax write-off. She was relentless as we were already in escrow. She never gave up nor did she let us. I'm written this sitting in the home we put an offer on in the beginning of March, in time for me to have a great birthday party and house warming. All of this made possible by Julia. She will be my co-guest of honor of the 30th of April. Thank you for everything Julia.
